We believe Hercules Denim Thermal Fleece Lined Jeans are the only no-sweat, three-layered, insulated jeans in the world. They consist of a heavy-duty, 12.5 oz., 90 threads-per-inch denim layer, a white synthetic fleece layer and a red synthetic cloth that allows the air to circulate arround the body thereby preventing sweating. For jeans sizes above a 38" waist, we reduce the weight of the denim by about 10% - in order to keep postage and freight weight under 1kg (approx 2lbs). WIND RESISTANT THREE LAYERS HISTORY Mr. Pinker noted that layering clothes on top of each other caused sweating, which created a serious problem in freezing weather, since sweat turns to ice, which then causes frostbite. This was his experience during a stint working as a diesel electrical engineer in Antarctica. He decided that one day he would create clothing that was already insulated, specificlly designed for cold temperatures.
